Can someone tell me what this plant is named? It is growing in my Florida courtyard.

It looks like a white bird of paradise. Another plant that
looks similar is a traveler's tree. I could say for sure if
you could take another picture of the plant from a distance.

Another possibility is heliconia. All these plants are fairly close relatives of banana, and can look very similar.

Without being able to see the base I'm going with the White Bird of Paradise.

Looks too big for Strelizia and the leaves are too pale. I'm going with banana. Bananas often get scrappy leaves like that.

It looks like there may be two different plants in the picture; the one in back has some kine "trunk" while the one in front has leaf stems to the ground.

The one in front isn't banana because there's no trunk, and the one in back's "trunk" doesn't look smooth enough for a banana.

You absolutely have a white bird of paradise. They can grow up to 30 feet tall in the right location and conditions.

Here is more info if you want it....
White Bird-of-Paradise is most often planted for its large, banana-like leaves and upright, clumping stalks which give an exotic feel to the landscape. Plants can reach 20 to 30 feet in height with a spread of 10 feet though they are often seen much smaller. The five to eight-foot-long, cold-tender leaves are arranged in a fanlike display from the erect trunks and appear much like Traveler's-Tree. The lower trunk becomes clear of leaves and exposed as the older leaves drop off. Leaves rip along the veins as they are blown by strong winds.
