Does anyone know how large they grow ultimately? I have "Tom Thumb"(which has never bloomed since I got it). I bring it in every fall and prune it, so I wonder how big it gets eventually. The same with Vera Purple. I have a friend who just recently moved to Miami and he told me that he has a small plot of yard to plant some plants in and I would like to send some of my tropicals to him(they would me much more happy in Miami than in Chicago)and since he loves bougainvilleas, I thought it would be nice to plant mine in the yard, but when I told him about it, he infered that there would be no room for a bougainvillea. I said it was a shrub, not a vine, but I realized just because it was a bush and not a vine, that does not necessarily mean it was compact, and I didn't really know whether or not it got big.
