Mango's falling off tree early

I have a Tommy Atkins tree that I planted approx. 6 yrs ago.

The past 2 yrs I have had hundreds of tiny mangos that

start to form and then while still tiny just fall off.

If you touch one ever so gently it falls off and so you can see if there is a windy day it just takes almost all. Last year I ended up with exactly ONE mango.

Delicious as it was I would really like to know if I am doing something wrong or if this is a natural occurance and can I stop it.

Post this over on the tropical fruit forum. Lots of Florida folks with mangos there.

This is a normal occurence with mangoes. They eject the fruit they can not maintain.

Use copper sulfate on the fruit when they are just starting to set, this will prevent the fall off,its due to a fungus.
