A few of my firecrackers in a whiskey barrels have propogated via layering have made new plants by layering... Just having the stems hang down and then making roots.

How fast will it be before they grow up to be central stalks about 12" ? I have a 9.5" container and was thinking about taking them out and sticking about 8 of them in there with my one plant... Will it crowd too quick?
