| There are species that will grow in shade , the one you posted a link to is a full sun sp. Some are quite small and could easily cone indoors , spp. like Zamia pygmaea, or the native Z.integrifolia or 'Coontie' . |

| That's an excellent pict you have there! I would bet you'd have to have a greenhouse or atrium to get it to cone in your zone. But by all means do try to prove me wrong! |

| I have a Cycad ( probably Cycas revoluta) which grows here in my garden in Brazil. Most of the time it is very hot and sunny. So far I've never got a cone. I think they only do this at a mature age. Could be 10 years +. |
