Starfruit leaves constantly "bunched" and folded up

We started starfruit from seed in one of my biology classes a couple of months ago and have three 4" seedlings that are living under a 15hr/day T5 grow light bank. I know with these guys they will fold the leaves down if touched, but these appear to be bunched together and folded down all the time (although a week or two ago they were spread apart more).

I have read that you shouldn't fertilize for a long time, so I have not done that at all, and have just been supplying water, light, and heat. The soil and leaf temps right now are at 82 degrees. I'm wondering if this is a stress-related thing, but since they're still putting out new growth I don't know... I tried taking a couple of pictures, but I'm not sure how well it will show up.

What do you all think?
