Always check ebay.. I love my sunrise plant but it is hard to cover in the winter.

Here is a link that might be useful: Carica Papaya

RE: Papaya "Ishigaki Sango"

Hi rednofl , I checked Ebay and sent email to the seller, but without reply. I checked the a forum and this what I found.
" Oh yes, I have been following this papaya quite long. It's patented meaning, $$$ if we want to buy AND no seed and they propagate with tissue culture. If we have enough people to buy, it might pay but importing tissue culture is pain and again, $$$. "

"A parthenocarpy fruit is a kind of fruit which is artificially grown, it is a seedless fruit which cannot reproduce by sexual means but only by asexual ones."
If you check the link above , you will view that the fruit is seedless.

RE: Papaya "Ishigaki Sango"

i love the description.
I am growing several papaya, but carrib red, maradol, solo sunrise and x-77
Only the carib red are mature now though.

I would love to trade with you if you have some other different varieties ?
I am thinking of making my own hybrid, and might not have a choice cos of the different plants i have :)
Should be fun to see what comes about...

RE: Papaya "Ishigaki Sango"

Hi Brad, I have no papayas and planning to buy one to keep in pot. I hope you will make your own hybrid.
