We were recently house sitting for a friend's dog, who loves to play with our dog. One fine day the play got a little out of hand and my poor sun parasol mandevilla was the run down by about 150 pounds of (combined) canine... needless to say it didn't do well!!! In order to salvage what I can, I hard-pruned the damaged growth almost down to the ground, losing about 75% of the plant.

I'm hoping it will survive! It was due for some fertilizer, but now I don't know if I should go forward, or wait a few weeks because of the stress of it's hair cut.

It's in the ground btw, not in a container.
