Sounds like it's somewhat rootbound. I'm wondering how long it went without watering prior to you watering it? Generally, if something wilts and you watered it the day before or so, time to repot.

I think I went too long between waterings. I will check the roots though, to be sure I don't have to go up a pot.
Are these plants finicky? What are their ideal conditions, (in a house.) Thx

Optimal conditions are those along the Pacific Coast -- warm, but not too hot, semi-shade and growing into a tree or other support. I feed with time release and foliar feed. Here in the SF Bay Area they grow very well outside. I do not know of them growing inside. I would think they need the moisture of the outdoors. As for potting, I was advised by a Lapageria expert at UC Berkeley to keep them in the pot until the roots show coming out the bottom pretty strongly. He didn't think up-potting was done often.

I grow about 10 cultivars of Lapageria as well as other Chilean vines.
