Hi Stacey..What do you mean by hardy? Hardy as in leaving outside all winter? When you say Crested Leopard, are you referring to Farfugium?
If so, how large is the pot you want to repot in? Plants should be potted in containers according to roots. In other words, if you put a plant that was in a 4" pot into a 12" pot, it might die..Little roots in a huge container, you know? Too much soil, most likely the plant will be over-watered. If plant lives, it might take forever to grow..If your plant is kept outdoors, (when warm enough) it will grow faster, and might survive in a large pot, but once indoors during winter, it could have problems. In warmer zones, 9+, people can get away with overpotting, mainly since plants are kept outdoors most of the year to year round.
BTW, the Crested Leopard is really pretty..I'm thinking of getting one, too. I have the Spotted Leopard which is quite pretty. Toni

I would like to wrap it in burlap or put it in my dark basement for the winter... I am afaid of little buggies if I bring it inside as a houseplant. I have an 8 " pot and I am putting 2 4" in it. I think it should be fine.

Stacey, I don't know how your Leopard Plant would do in a dark basement over winter..My plants go outside every summer and no bugs. Well, there is the occasional spider which I detest, but I hose plants before bringing inside. They're also sprayed with Fish Emulsion and a few organics ingredients. Stacey, I hope someone can answer your question, but IMO, wrapping a LP in burlap might kill it. Toni

MY Cressted leopard ( ligularia tussilaginea "aureommaculata") survived for two years in a zone seven winter, I think farfugium is a synonym for ligularia. So it may survive down to zero but I would say keep a cutting handy. : )
