Need help with grafted Mango

Hi,

I have a mango plant/tree (about 6 yearls old)that was seed grown. A couple of generous fellow gardeners helped me graft it two summers ago, with cuttings from yeilding varieties. I left one successful graft on the parent plant and cut away all the others as suggested. The plant has done well for the past year (I bring it indside a heated sunroom for the winter. Howeve, this spring a couple of branches dried out completely, and has only one green shoot left. I see new growth, but does not look very healthy. Also, the bark on the main trunk seems to be chipping off in places, exposing the insides. I am afrais of losing this tree after nourishing it for several years now.

Please help! What is happening?

I can email pictures if you would like.

Thank you
