Tropical Plant identification

Hi,
I ran into this amazing plant a couple weeks ago out in San Diego. For the life of me I can not figure out what it is and its driving me nuts. I would love to have one of these mixed in with my landscape but do not know what it is. Can someone please help.

Looks like Ficus elastica to me...a rubber tree. Grown as a houseplant outside of tropical and subtropical regions.

It is Ficus elastica. You can get paler green or almost black leaves, as well as variegated.

Hi
Don't use them as a yard plant they love to seek out water supplies and destroy them lol. Generally true of most of the ficus family. I'd seek out some local advice on how to grow them gary
