| I hope someone can help me. I purchased two sun parasol mandevillas at the same time from the same place this spring. One has tendrils all over the place, the other, not a single one. Does anyone know why? Or how to get a mandevilla to start sprouting tendrils? Im confused. Any help would be appreciated. Everyone I have talked to said that a mandevilla naturally sprouts tendrils. Thank you. |

| It will produce tendrils when it starts actively growing - be patient. Your other plant is obviously in active growth, thus the tendrils. Vines are severely pruned when they leave the grower's greenhouse, to make shipping easier. Just keep watering it and feeding it a light solution of water and bloom fertilizer and you should soon be rewarded. |
