I live in st. pete florida which is a perfect jacaranda zone. The city is covered with them. i never see the cuspidifolia only the mimosifolia.

A few words of advice. they become VERY large trees eventually. larger than the oaks. you cannot prune these trees to size and have them look good. They make the epigenic shoots and are extremely obvious and ugly when pruned period. They are also susceptible to branch break, but the limbs fill in quickly. some people think they are messy. All that said, I love the tree. Hope you plant one and enjoy. May is my favorite time here when the city turns purple.
