Why must the plants be tented?
They usually secure the tent between the house and the foundation plantings, which should be well away from the foundation for this very reason.

These guys should know what they are doing- they conform the tent to the shape of the house and do not include plants. Speak to the company doing the tenting.

The tenting was done 1 1/2 weeks ago and luckily we only lost a couple of plants, and a few others look like they will survive. I ended up planting too many plants too close to the house. Since my first posting I potted up a bunch of the uncommon plants that were within a foot or so from the house, and planted most of them back into the garden, but farther from the house this time. All my plants now are in a much safer distance from the house, and I even gave a few away.

By the way, I had a minor amount of drywood termites
coming in one area of the house and didn't want them
to become a problem. It was done by a large national
company that has a guarantee that is lifetime and kept
up with a once yearly renewal.
