I have a very large and older Guava tree for the first time. I'm concerned because it is blooming and birds are eating the blooms. Will this result in fewer fruit?

Vic, as you know: no blooms, no pollenation = no fruit. I'd say cover your shrub with bird netting to prevent this. Mine was loaded with blooms this year, but no fruit yet.
