| My bougainvillea was already 10 ft hi when I moved into my San Francisco house in 94. Blooms beautifully, gets lots of sun, planted in dirt in the front yard. But in last few years it has lost almost all its green leaves. When the red bracts fall off in winter, it's almost bare again. Any idea why the green leaves have died off? What to do? |

| Mine defoliate some during the winter. Then grow new leaves in the summer. Have you looked for caterpillars. There is a caterpillar that likes to eat the leaves of my bougainvilleas sometimes. |
