Oh, neat! But... aren't these native to temperate areas?

They grow wild and are cultivated around here in 7a.

I have several from seeds and they are currently on their third year:

very cool fruit! i bought two years ago and one died. the one i have now is only 3 ft tall and 4 years old. i hear it needs a second tree to cross pollinate? they seem to like the shade in very hot climates such as where i live.
