Giant blue/purple salvia??

bought this plant with this name in the tag, its definately NOT a salvia, the leaves are very similar to strobilanthes in appearance/shape but solid light green.

when i bought it the plabt was about 20" tall and is now over 7 feet. it has not yet bloomed for me to id the flowers.

if anyone has any idea as to what this plant is, please let me know

Well finally I found it
the plant also called giant tropical salvia is known botanically as Brillantaisia subulugarica.

mine is now about 8 or 9 feet tall and still not a bloom
lol
but the leaves, which are about 1 - 3 feet long are really nice looking.
