It is a selected foliage color form of the more common Talinum paniculatum, Jewels of Opar. I doubt that the golden foliage will come true from seed, so you will be better off buying some plants if you want the foliage color. This is a very easy plant to grow once the weather has warmed up, and pretty fast to bloom from seed, but there is no guarantee that the foliage color will come true. It acts as a perennial here in coastal northern California, and does have the showy berries, but can tend to reseed here and become a bit weedy in well watered parts of the garden.

Wow, that was fast! Knowing that it reseeds to the point of being a weed gives me great confidence that I will be able to grow it from seed myself. The foliage color is not so important to me, I like the charming little flowers. Thank you so much. Deborah
