Well, bulldawger, you clearly did not get a good Rapoza. Perhaps it's the climate. Rapoza is a chance seedling of Irwin, but not a small tree. It grows here in Hawaii to 20'x20'. I have to top prune and tip prune the sides after every harvest. It is a prolific producer (from June into late October in waves), anthracnose resistant, and entirely fiberless. Here, it is super sweet as well. I think it may be a dud in Florida though. I purchased a bare root Pickering--reportedly a chance seedling from Carrie, but firms and sweet, not mushy--from Pine Island Nursery that is finally giving me fruit after 5 years. Hoping it will be good here. aloha.
