Hedychium coccineum 'Tara'

I recently acquired a clone of this variety of the Kahlili Ginger. I have since read that this is not in fact a variety of the red Hedychium but in fact a hybrid of H.coccineum and H.garderianum. Would anyone like to comment on this?
