Why are mango tree leaves yellowing and dropping? (w/ pics)

This Carrie mango tree was planted three weeks ago. We water everyday (unless we get a lot of rain). Several of the established leaves have turned very yellow and fall off. Am I over watering, under watering?

It has lots of new leaves (I couldn't believe how fast it grew!) and they are thin, waxy, and a yellow green color. Any ideas? See pics below. TIA!

Watering everyday? That's the culprit right there. Cut it back to maybe twice a week.
Good luck!

I was following the directions given by the nursery, but I think I will water every other day this week and then next week only 3 times. Thanks for the advice! LOL...a huge downpour is just starting, so Monday it is.

Since you mentioned the nursery's directions, is it a newly planted tree? It could also be just the shock of the plant being put in ground from its comfortable pot.
