Can't help with your guava question, but I can tell you my papayas started from seed a little over a year ago are already fruiting. They are a bit thicker in the truck that yours, but I would expect you will start seeing blossoms soon. Mine are in the ground - not in pots - so unsure if that will have an influence or not.

Well, I thought papayas had to be taller before flowering but my dwarf papaya (5 feet) is beginning to bud. Not sure of the variety of papaya you have. I also have a guava "Ruby Supreme", about the same size as yours. Your guava is already of flowering/fruiting size. I got flowers/fruit last year but not this year yet. Good luck!
PS. Both of your plants are getting close to the need for a bigger container--don't overpot them though.

My papayas would hate that pot. They like plenty of water and lotsa nitrogen. Here is one of mine at about 10 months old. I started it from seed.
