I've never transplanted anything larger than about 6 ft but these are tough plants and tolerate the abuse, make sure they stay warm so they recover quickly.

I don't think that keeping them warm will be a problem since we are in Orlando and it's a dripping 90 something most days. We just have to keep our fingers crossed that we don't get any storms coming through.

FYI to anyone that might like to know. My birds so far seem to be doing well. They look like they will make it. Anyone know how long it typically would take before we will know for sure if they will survive.

FYI It's been a year since we separate our White Bird. We have approximately 8 separate plants from our one original one. All are growing and happy with their new location. We only had one that we actually had to use stakes to make sure it didn't topple over. The average height of the replants was 8-10 feet tall. My advise is to work slowly and try to keep a good root intact.
