| Hi,
I'm a novice vegetable gardener up here in N. Canada but I'm going to be moving to Africa in about a year. I would love to find some good websites to learn about tropical gardening ahead of time. I've run across Echo (http://www.echotech.org/), which seems to quite extensive and the African Converation Tillage Network (http://www.act.org.zw/). Do you have any other good bookmarks on this topic? Thanks, Rose |

| I live a few miles from Echo which is in N. Ft Myers, Fl. and have been to their garden/nursery. If you ever have a chance to go there before you go to Africa, I would jump on it. I think that gardening in Africa is more than just gardening in the tropics, you have soil and water problems. THey have a lot of information for folks who are going on missionary trips. I would contact them personally so see if they'll they can send you anything specific for the area you are going to. Barb |
