Morning light lets houseplants make the most of the sun’s rays without getting burned
Full StoryI have a 4-foot-tall Coffee arabica that's been growing in an 8" pot in the same location in my office for 3 years.
I water it when the potting soil doesn't feel moist.
I apply Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food -- 1/2 teaspoon in 12 oz. of water -- every month or two.
Up to a couple of months ago, the plant had a lot of healthy shiny green leaves (old and new).
But now, the leaves have lost their shine and have started to dry out and drop. Also, the potting soil is drying out faster between waterings.
Is it time to replace the potting soil in the pot?
What is the best way to remove all of the old potting soil from the roots?
