Do you think it might survive as a house-shrub? Its just soooo pretty... I'd love to have it at the house somewhere.

I don't know about trying it as a houseplant but it might do well in a heated greenhouse. I have a few tropical trees that go into the greenhouse over the winter and most do quite well.
