Hi all

My sis has a nice Strobilanthes dyerianus in her flower bed. When she first got the plant this past June I took a small tender growth cutting hoping to root it. I had it in a light "seed starter" mix and tried to keep it moist but not sopping wet. It was in a west facing window shaded by some other plants so it had warm temps and bright light but no direct sun. Yesterday, having returned from a short trip, I found it dried out and upon removal from the soil noticed it still had no roots. (Something I found rather strange as the cutting was doing fine for 2 months).

So my Q is what does one have to do to root one of these silly things?
