Had a real bumper crop of Lychee this summer. Most years I only get a handful on my almost 20 year old group of 3 trees. The tree were planted in a triangle quite close together. They are about 20 feet tall and about 15 feet wide. They have long since grown together and look like just one tree from a distance. The Lychee trees were planted right next to 3 Longan tree. We get lots of Longan fruit every year.

Nice! I've heard that they can take 40yrs to really start producing quantity as a crop and historically that a grower will be planting for his grandson to have an orchard. Was it worth the wait? They are pretty tasty.

Beautiful fruit. How was the taste?

Beautiful! I've heard that it's not easy getting lychees to fruit in CA. Where do you live?
