It could be Clerodendrum nutans, Nodding clerodendrum. I cann't be certain, the blooms don't look quite right, maybe they're almost over. Check the link below.

Hi Kew tip,
Someone on Name that Plant forum has narrowed it down to some type of Citharexylum species although I am not sure which one. So I am researching that family. Tnks

I went to the agricultural library up the street from me yesterday and they helped me look it up. It is exactly a Citharexylum spinosum they also said that if you really have need to know what the species is of the plant, mail it to them at the University Of Maryland and they will let you know.

i think you got the right species. i was trying to prove a point in the other forum. i'm sorry if i got a little snooty, but it's weird when someone thinks they know it all. i had no idea what this plant was but when grow n garden told us what it was, it was like a light bulb went off in my head.
