Oh wow you're right! I didn't recognize it because I have never actually seen a green Castor Bean plant. All mine are red.

Can't imagine it would be illegal. I bought one last summer at a local nursery, but then Texas is a whole 'nother country! LOL! ... and Castor beans can be invasive in mild climates.

Thx guys for the information. I was just making sure I'm not planting anything illegal lol. I saw a picture of a marijuana leaf a long time ago and thought this leaf resembles it. I just google castor bean, and there were some red leaves species that looks great.

These are listed as "invasive weeds" in s. florida and with good reason they pop up everywhere lol In warm climates they turn into trees. I'd check around locally to see how it grows in your area. gary

I think jatropha multifidia looks more like marijuana.
