Blood Banana

I have a small (2') Blood banana that's been growing in a pot over the summer. What do I do with it over the winter? Do I keep it warm and under the HID lights or do I cut off the leaves and store the tuber until next spring?

Thanks,

Karyn

    Karyn,
At 2' I think I would still consider that to be at that 'iffy' stage and go ahead and do the lights. I have grown gobs of these and they are very tolerant of the evil things I have done but if I only had one and wanted to be sure it got through I would care for it over the winter. The larger ones I would definitely store semi dry in their pots or etc. If you wanna try storing it this winter (for lack of space) and do lose it let me know next spring :P No worries
