Sorry I dont know I just started a seed about 2 weeks ago. Just wondering how long to spout and how long before fruit? Is it in side or out side. Im in Missouri. Thank You Connie

I find they keep better on the tree. If you pick them they will overripen rapidly .Mine always turns a dark orange instead of yellow. One tip check for maggots BEFORE eating the whole fruit lol
They vary considerably in diffferent cultivars so keep tasting until you find the stage you like.

Thanks for the tip Gary. Connie I honestly do not remember the time frame. I have two trees that I started several years ago. I have had blooms but not fruit in the past but I am sure that it was my fault by not keeping them fertilized and watered enough. I did find out last winter that they can not stand cold wind even tho it is not freezing. One was in a draft from a broken window in the gh and looked completely dead. When I started to dump it in the spring I did the scratch test and found that only the branches in the draft were dead. I cut them off but it did not bloom this year but is making a slow recovery. The one with the fruit is really covered with blooms now and is setting another crop. I am anxious to see if the cool greenhouse will make it drop the new fruit. Ever since i got a $1,100 electric bill I use the heater only in VERY cold conditions and then only at night.
