Might work ?? They are extensively used as landscape plants in this area but don't know anybody growing them in a pot lol
Of all the tropical trees I've tried to dwarf had the best luck with "Dwarf poincianna ". grows very well in a pot can be pruned constantly and will flower under two feet. Comes in several colors
have had these flower within two years from seed!! and always kept in a pot though outdoors.
have never tried any of the Geigers though Might be worth a try?? gary

I just noticed this, thanks for replying, Gary. That is a lovely tree too. I had my heart set on a Geiger tree but I won't rule it out. For now I plan on starting it from seed a) because it's much cheaper and b) I'm curious to see it started from seed. :)
