overwintering jacaranda

hello everybody
i have a jacaranda, grown from seed, which is about 6 feet now. The problem is that it is getting colder outside and i need to put it inside but it is still too warm inside my (dark) garage: +- 62F. It never gets cold in the garage. i believe 53 is minimum.
Outside it is too cold (46 daytime and 35 night time). Unfortunately I do not have a greenhouse.
I could put it in the house for a few weeks (there is more light and temp. is +-65 during the day).
Does someone have any ideas how to keep this wonderfully beautiful plant? I would hate to lose it.
thank you
regards
Yves
