Bird of paradise

I've bought a house in FL and it has a large bird of paradise growing. I have noticed there are leaves with yellow/orange ribs and other leaves have red ribs. The red ribbed ones are on the outside of the clump and keep getting cut down by the lawn people. I'm wondering if I have 2 different ones planted together. This is the only bloom I've seen on it and can only find a yellow rib on the leaf with it. Thanks for your help
