Tropical peach?

Bula from Fiji,

We had this delicious fruit for breakfast today.

The locals call it a peach? I asked to see the tree and hope someone can help us find the botanical or common name for this tropical wonder.

Actually, Bula, repost this on the Tropical Fruits forum - that's where the guys who will probably know this fruit hang out...I actually came to the Tropicals forum today by mistake.... :)

I think it was reposted there or somewhere. The type of fruit was a Garcinia, forgot which species. It does look like an yellow-orange mangosteen.

There is a fruit in Brazil called achachairÃÂº, which is also sometimes called tropical peach. It is a member of the Garcinia family. I have to say it is not to be compared with the peach that we all know in terms of flavor.
