i think it depends on the variety of acca sellowana. I
have several different named cultivars and they tend to
bloom in the late spring maybe april through june

three year old plants will bloom but not sure if younger
will or not

They typically bloom early to mid summer here in northern California, and become fully ripe starting now(mid October) into late November/early December. I rarely see Feijoa sellowiana bloom much before it gets at least 4 feet tall. Don't forget that the white petals are also edible in salads, and taste like marshmallows.

This is a picture of my Pineapple Guava taken today. The other picture was taken appx 5 months ago with blooms on it. I live in central florida and mine flowered in May and June, but all the fruits fell off when they were very small. Hopefully next spring I will get some? The plant was in a 15 gallon pot and was pretty big when I bought it. The nursery wasn't sure how old the plant was maybe 3-4 years old?{{gwi:1318145}}
