Coffee anyone ?

Is anyone growing coffee in zone 9 ? I've got a few plants I grew from seeds I picked up in Kona last November and was wondering if anyone has good tricks for helping them through the winter. They're a foot tall now and doing quite well. I've got 3 in a group, I just moved from a 2 gallon up to a 5 gallon pot today.

I heard of fruiting coffee plants in San Francisco. From what locals have posted Pat,there is a world of difference in hardiness between potted coffee plants outdoors and in ground plants.In other words,if you want to test-find a light shade spot in ground.

Bring them inside if you feel you need to :) and you can provide enough light and humidity.

Keep dust mites off of them and they wont mind the change in scenery.

Thanks for the tips. I figure this winter I'll set up my temporary green house again and keep it in there. When it gets to big to manage I'll plant it on the S.E. side of my house or donate it to someone with a large conservatory.
