Vanilla Orchid

Today my vanilla orchid has flowered. I have tried to pollinate it by moving the pollen sacs with a toothpick. So far so good the pollen seemed to stick on the under surface of the female part of the flower. The orchid is growing outside on a small tree in my courtyard. Let's hope we get some pods developing.

Hi
I've done that but i can't remember if I had better luck with cross pollination. NEVER had many beans in any event and they often failed to mature
