Has somebody get to fruit jackfruit in California?

Search this forum for "jackfruit"; you'll find an thread on this topic from last summer.

To answer your question briefly, jackfruit has been successfully fruited by any number of people in Southern California. The plant seems more adaptable to non-tropical climates than is commonly supposed.

I live in San Diego, CA. There are trees in my neighborhood.
Also, at the San Diego Zoo there's a few trees...one which has little fruits on it now.

a search to find more CA grown jackfruit trees on this website.

I saw some flowering jackfruit trees at Mimosa nursery in LA they were $85 in a 25 gallon pot.I hope this helps.
