Hi Karen,

the ones you listed tend to be smaller by nature. we are talking 12" - 4' in general, exception maybe robusta if it's a good strain.

My biggest yet is Colocasia escuelenta "Jack's Giant" from Wayside Gardens. It went in as a small plant (about 12" high) in mid-May and got to about 8' by 13' wide by September! (check out photo in link).

Boca Joe

You'd be much better off with Alocasia macrorhizza, Alocasia lutea, possibly A. sarian.

If you start them inside - you can really give them a head start you can add at least 2 - 3 months I think. My regular store eddoe almost went to 5 ft with 3 foot leaves and that was just a regular growing season

Calidora is a good one! You can grow it outdoors in partial shade, it doesn't like full sun, then bring it inside potted as a houseplant when it gets cold. It does well as a houseplant too.
Mine is now three years old and is about 8 feet tall. Of course I have a greenhouse, but if you don't have room for an eight foot tall houseplant, it can be cut back when you bring it in.
Alocasia macrorrhiza is another good one that is very similar, and similar in growing conditions and size.
