I have been growing an Acai plant for over four months now, the first leaf which is expectantly long, started out green. Now its winter time and it has thinned, and seems to be looking mostly white, brown at the bottom with evidence of a possible second leaf coming out. I need to know if this change in color is just for the winter season, or if I will need to just buy a matured Acai plant from Hawaii [with the government inspected certificate of course]. And for those whom are wondering, I do live in a state that supports acai growth. Even if I have to trash it, at least I have a mature Pitahya cactus that is coming in.
