Red trumpet vine - Campsis radicans

We have just returned from holiday with some seeds of the red trumpet vine (Campsis radicans). I understand the seeds need a period of cold (stratification) to germinate. I wonder if anyone else successfully grows this plant in Zone 11. I am a bit worried it may be very rampant but produce few flowers. I have seen this beautiful plant in several states of USA, but all had much colder winters than here. - Ian.

Beautiful flowers, VERY vigorous vine, tropical-like in appearance, they are too invasive here in Zone 7--don't know how they would do in the tropics.

    Hi
I suspect it would do poorly in a tropical climate but that could be an advantage as it wouldn't be invasive. ?
There are so many tropical vines that would be ideal for your climate Think i would choose from among those??
