Salvia (Sage)

| I recently acquired some seed of the Mexican Blue Sage or Gentian Sage (Salvia patens). The seedlings are doing fine and I am looking forward to having them in my border and hoping to save the seed. I also have a lot of Red Sage - Lady in Red - Salvia coccinea. My question is: will these two different sage species hybridize? It's a tough question. I hope someone may know the answer. |
