Oleanders - can I save them?

Just had a very unexpected, quick move to northern Ontario, zone 3 - house was not ready, had to leave my 2 mature, 4' high Oleanders out in below freezing temps, and snow. Finally, were able to get them into a semi-heated area - temp at 54 degrees F. The stems are showing very green, leaves looking quite sad but still there, soil is very wet. Should I just leave them, or prune them back, but leave some of the foliage? How will I be able to tell if they have not survived? Any help would be greatly appreciated as they were a gift and have done beautifully.

Thanks!
