best Time to repot?

hi all, I just bought an Asian pear, persimmon, and fig. the pot they are in are small. the dirt looks like mud. the roots are sticking out. the persimmon and pear stand 8ft tall. I have repotted many trees this summer. but now I am learning that there is a time to do it. Can I just repot these now or wait till dormancy?
