Jeez, are you fortunate! My Geffner Atemoya had two crops this year, the second with only two fruits, but my two sugar apples (cultivar unknown) are not producing squat!

Years ago I had a little one ~3' tall that was full of fruit, the ants LOVED it!

One year a second crop showed up real late in the year. And there was no way that they were going to ripen in the remaining warmer days of summer/fall.

Result was the fruits got bigger but they were rock hard and never softened. Then they cracked in the january/february cold.

Once the sections are expanded fully without splitting I pick them and they always ripen in the house. Yours may have cracked due to freezing inside them?

Well I can't say I'm feeling fortunate, I feel sad that I most likely won't be eating these sugar apples. Gnappi I can share a kampong mauva baby in the spring if you want. It has been a very reliable producer for me over the years.

My Geffner atemoya have ripened and grown throughout the winter before.. just VERY slowly, you may get to eat them after all.
