You could try planting seeds from papaya fruit purchased from your local grocery. TR Hovey plants are very difficult to come by. There are only a few places which sell these and they are most likely tissue culture starts. Couple good seed companies specializing in papaya varieties. Also, Amazon has what they are billing as a dwarf papaya.

Thanks for the response. I ordered the t.r. Hovey from a eBay seller the same one mentioned by REB1136) yesterday. I am also looking for red lady seeds. Pls. Let me know, if you come across one. I saw that in few sites which worls out to be expensive. Waiting for the spring, I can get a live plant.

Do be honest I really didnt do anything special to mine. If anything I was probally a little rough on the tree.I repotted the dang thing more times than I should have, changing and trying different types of soil.
When I first got the tree it was tiny, like maybe 4". I kept it inside at first cause it was still cold out. Then when spring hit,out in the yard it went and stayed there all the way till sometime in Oct.Then I put the tree in the greenhouse. My wife is suppose to take spme pictures of it today and I will try and get them up later on tonight.
